VALE: 13th MOBI Intake CPOMTH4 Barrie W. Robinson

At 3:15 PM this afternoon, I received a phone call from Danielle Robinson, daughter of Barrie and Dagmar Robinson, with the sad news of the passing of her Dad,
Barrie, who was discovered in bed, albeit unresponsive, at 11:00 AM last Tuesday, having apparently suffered a stroke in the hours preceding, almost exactly a year
after losing the love of his life, his wife, and Danielle and Michael’s mother, Dagmar…

In keeping with his wishes, Barrie was cremated quietly and privately by his family, Danielle, Michael, and brothers Jim and Pat and their immediate families…

Danielle indicated that a small memorial get-together, a 'celebration of Barrie's life', with nibbles and refreshments will be held in the community centre at Barrie’s
unit complex In Woolgoolga, NSW, at a date and time to be advised, to send him off. If anybody would like to attend contact me for details…

Farewell old friend, we had loads of memories, may you have smooth seas and a following breeze, you will be sadly missed by all of us…

Ah Baz, we had some fantastic times together.

Staying at Johnies when we were at Nirimba then catching a cab down to Alex Chaters to get swallows tatooed on our chests, drinking claret out of schooner glasses with our girls at your Navy flat in Maroubra, singing Blackboard of my Heart at parties and much more.

Fabulous memories, now you are with your only love, Dagmar. Farewell old mate, I'll see you again one day.

Have very fond memories of great times we had together when we lived in Kambah A.C.T in the 70's and 80's. One particular all night fondue dinner with Barrie and Dagmar, walked home at sunup. Great memories. You will be sadly missed. R.I.P.

Danielle has advised me that the 'celebration of Barrie's life', scheduled for Wed. 15th, has been put on hold due to availability of family members, Geordie, she's hoping it may now be Monday 20th...

:-k Upon learning of Barrie’s passing last Thursday, I asked John ‘Chippy Ned’ Kelly to send out a group e-mail to inform the 13th MOBI Intake of Barrie’s passing, as Ned maintains the most comprehensive
