Not a nice way to start the New Year, with the sad news (discovered on Facebook,) that well known identity WOMTP Ken Corrie had lost his long battle with cancer...

Many will have know Ken, either from their time at HMAS Tarangau, as I did, or perhaps when he an instructor at HMAS Nirimba, or his time in the Fleet, or more recently from amongst the ex-Navy fraternity in the Shoalhaven area...



I would like to add my personal condolences to his wife Krys and their extended family...

At 75 years young, still taken much too soon... Rest on your oars Sailor, your journey's done...

Saw Ken about a month ago at the Country Club. He often asked me about posting things on the website.

Served with Ken in Vampire just before she paid off (seems to be missing from his posting list). Great guy taken far too early and will be sadly missed.

Have a lot of great memories of Ken, when we served together on Torrens we had many laughs, beers and a few shenanigans .
