just saw his notice in Revellie Last Post
he was the "mad" mathematician referred to elsewhere in this forum
did everything by numbers drove his VW by numbers can remember the days his calculations failed at the Main gate - they had laid new loose gravel finish on road at boom gate and the Vw didn't halt in time before the boom gate was lifted BOOM BOOM so to speak.
