I would like to start a topic (If I may) for the West Aussies A sort of area that the forgotten few can post so we wont miss out on any runs,reunions or get togethers.
Had a good night on the 05 December 03 the WA Engineering Christmas Reunion organized byGeoff O'Callaghan and Bill Barrett saw lots of old faces great night

I will be at the TPI cottages at Point Peron between the 20th and 27th December.
Hope to catch up with a few at either the Rockingham RSL across the road or down at the Naval Association near Stirling causeway.

See if you had stayed a Stoker instead of lowering yourself to a MTH you would not probably be still having to shift Work.

This is a general call for help for info from a very confused chippy.
When in the West last month Don Roberts, (Nick the Greek), and I went to the "gunplot" reunion on Sunday 16th Nov. Now the address was Northbridge hotel corner of Brisbane & Lake Sts. Well we waited around for about 3 hours enjoying a few guinnesses and a nice meal, but you guessed it, by ourselves. I have since learned that the reunion went off as scheduled and enjoyed by all. We were in Perth just off Wellington St; where were the rest
Obviously another town. Any suggestions
Waiting with bated breath for any enlightenment.
Chuckles - I believe this was one that you couldn't attend.

Had half of the morning , fornoon , afternoon and first dog watch on the fixed flight deck 3444mts x 45mts (Perth Airport main runway)

Present at the Northbridge Hotel, cnr Lake and Brisbane Sts, on Nov 16 th were Chris A, SteveB, jdee and another lady, I'm hopeless with names but ChrisA will help me out here.
I think it was mentioned that there was a Brisbane or Lake Lane and it wasn't the pub on the corner of that intersection. Looks like we had 2 get togethers 'and never the twain did meet'. Maybe next time we'll all get to the same place. It was a nice afternoon anyway and I enjoyed meeting up with those that were at that venue.

Sorry we diidn't get to meet.....
The other lady Jenny couldn't remember was Michele B and she enjoyed along with the rest of us, a good afternoon.
Hopefully we will meet soon and with SteveB organizing some where south of the river, we will get a few of the ex navy guys together...
Chuckles we have got to meet one day soon........
It seems like what Jenny said the twain shall never meet, but I'm sure we will one day.
