I'll bet the prices will be marked up as well.

PW, the prices on the wine list and menu don't seem to be inflated, but tgey are not showing the bar prices for beer or spirits.

Hi Chris,

Our first floor & ground floor outdoor area will be open on the 1st November, we will be operating every day from that Tuesday.

Downstairs should be open by Friday 4th November.

We will be open on the 4th November. Please be advised that it may only be our first floor and ground floor outdoor areas that are operational.

Our ground floor public bar should be open by then but I can’t make any promises.

I am a member of an ex Naval group who usually start our annual activities at Frisco.
Our 2016 gathering is due to begin on Friday 4 November.
Could you advise how renovations are going, and if there is any likelyhood of your being reopened by then.

CJ and Shep will be there by 1230 on Friday and I'm sure they'll grab all the outdoor seats/tables and protect them with their bodies for those who follow on later!!!!

I guess it's a sign of the times that despite 13 previous annual bookings at the Lord Nelson, they have decided to get tough... What this means is that to
confirm a lunch booking for more than 10 people, a credit card is required... (Mine, unfortunately...) More importantly, we now need to specifically nail down numbers of diners...
...or get charged for the no-shows regardless...! I've suggested 20, (we've 18 confirmed at this stage,) and I'll commit to confirming numbers with the required 24 hours
notice as demanded, but would like everybody to now confirm their intention to have lunch at the Lord Nelson...

@#$% .......sign of the times though I guess. Maybe we need to rethink our lunch arrangements. Perhaps we "under-order" and hope that if more turn up, they can provide more space???

I will be there as well, but I'm not happy about this arangement. I think in future years we must look at a different arrangement.

So much for downwards customer loyalty. This has been happening now for 14 years, and THEY don't trust us!!! It's not as if the place is an upmarket joint. Pies and peas for @#$% sake!!!!
