I would like to plonk for the first Satdee in July.

This will also double as a farewell with the good Chief Scribbler (aka the oldest Chief Writer ever to be in receipt of Sea Going Allowance ) who concludes his Continuous Full Time Service contract a few days later , and swallowing the anchor for the second time, will return to rural Queensland, pockets stuffed full of DFRDB dollars - never to sail the foaming seas no more.

Nothing is ever wasted in the R.A. Glorious N - every askew situation becomes an ad-hoc training ground full of life experience. And we all know how good training is in grooming young sailors.

By amusing happenstance I am still in possession of reekonn-A-sauce (you know I can't spell reconnaissance) notes from the first exploration into the dark depths of Balmain and could produce an attack plan in short order but alas; no way to promulgate said OPORDER. (Warrick - are you listening).

Then we need to assemble a strike team of hardened veterans who are prepared to drink for The Cause and set a time and a date for the attack.

As earlier stated, it is my intention to spend that first Satdee in July with the good Chief Scribe anyway and what better send orf than with a pack of smiling ex-MOBIs.
