Just spoke to Calum Bannatyne, & he asked not to send flowers (family request), but if you wish to donate a gold coin or other amount to Dave's passion it would be well received.

The Bundaberg Sugar Cane Railway was where Dave spent all his spare time, he first worked on the train INVICTA as a project at NIRIMBA & years later he sighted it at Bundy in a poor state of repair & he promised to return &

rebuild it, well, he did, & he worked on it 'till his health wouldn't allow it anymore.

Deeply sadden to hear of Dave's passing. He was my instructor (Phase One Course) @ Cerberus in the mid 70's. His enthusiasm for Steam was so great that he convinced me to become a Diesel rate. :?
