Since "Black" is not a colour but the total absence of all colour
Neither is "White" a colour in itself but a combination in equal preportion of all colours.
AND
"Grey" or gray describes the tints and shades ranging from black to white.

Since black and white are not colours in themselves, it follows that grey cannot be a colour either
