A sad day today, we buried my brother in law Eddy Sheavils. Ed joined the Navy as a JR. in 1963 and finally left the service 49 years later as a Warrant Officer Mine Warfare. A good man, a good mate.

I have to mention that a member, altho not a posting one, has passed the bar.

Tom Willis AKA Tommy Turtle on here, passed away last Thursday 12th from a multitude of problems.

He was a stoker ON Melbourne when I joined the thing in '71, tried his hand as a Docky Copper,

then was in the Kwinana Fire Brigade for a while before maladies overtook him.

Funeral is this Thursday at Fremantle Crematorium, thence KFB in Kwinana.

His lovely wife Kathleen personally delivered the news, as he and I were quite close.

Onya Tomarse....give em heaps buddy......
