Sad news indeed. I never met Geoff personally, but his posts on SH sure gave me a feeling of mateship. I would often think of Flash during his period of illness.

Please pass my sincere condolences to Geoff's family, he is at ease now. :salute1:

What a sad day. I haven't met Flash in person either, but after his many posts on here I could see he was a good bloke. I am saddened at his passing.

Vale Flash, rest your oars mate.

Whilst expected, I'm very sad to hear of Geoff's passing, Ray, he was a regular poster on RAN Skilled Hands, until
he :type: divulged his declining condition back on 27th June 2013, with his last post with us just two days later...

We first heard of his situation with his 2012 posts into the :type: Kidney Transplant topic he made his own... :-k

More recently, a number efforts to contact Geoff went unanswered, so I figured he wasn't travelling at all well...

I'd like to think that 'Flash' took some comfort from the warmth we was shown by our Members, as I know that as
an Arrow survivor, :type: xnavyman was also a regular poster on The Gun Plot and Member of Navy Stokers...

:notworthy: Rest on your oars 'Flash' your journey's done... [-o<

That is sad news. Flash was a willing contributor to this site. Farewell Flash. Anchor up in a safe harbour and take a make 'n' mend, you deserve it.

Very sad news indeed. I didn't know Flash well but we did serve on Stalwart together for a short period where he always came across as a genuinely great guy and was a pleasure to serve with.

I often wondered how he was fairing other the last few months, as they would not have been easy days for him, and I hoped that he was travelling as comfortably and well as he could.

May you now have fair winds and following seas Jeff. Rest yours oars, your job is now done.

What terrible news

Flash and I did our Stokers course together, he was a card with his past posts sounding that he had not given up the fight I was hoping and praying that he would pull through

Terrible news RIP Flash

That is sad news. It was always a pleasure to exchange banter with Flash and remind him that he had terrible taste in Footy teams, being a Saints supporter.

Fair winds and smooth seas Flash. Hopefully you can pick a better team up there....maybe trade the Saints #-o for the Angels.. :angel12:
